Welcome to the 11th annual Man of the Cliff event! Man of the Cliff is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment and experience for all guests.


We ask everyone to be respectful and courteous to other guests, event staff, vendors, security and volunteers. We expect to “leave no trace” in Nottingham Park through good stewardship of all guidelines, greening initiatives, safety policies and regulations.


We value the support of all attendees and the community who live around the event venue and want to return for many years to come. Please be kind, courteous and respectful as you safely enjoy Man of the Cliff!



This event is environmentally friendly! The goal of this event is to be zero waste. Please make yourself aware of the Zero Hero stations where there will be trash/recycle/compost bins and work with the volunteers to place your waste in the appropriate bin.  All products at this event should be 100% recyclable or compostable. No plastic bottles are allowed inside the Event Area as Avon is a plastic-free town! 




Entrance onto event premises provides Man of the Cliff with your consent to use event photographs and videos for festival promotional purposes.



Lost and Found

Items found before, during, or after the event should be turned into the main registration area. Items may be passed to the local authority, donated to charity or disposed of at the discretion of management after 30 days.



Items Not Allowed

The following items are not permitted in Event Area:


  • Outside alcohol or other beverages of any kind

  • No plastic bottles (the Town of Avon is plastic free)

  • Bottles, cans, growlers and/or camelbacks purchased outside the Event Area

  • Food or drink purchased outside the Event Area

  • Coolers

  • Frisbees and/or beach balls

  • Animals other than service animals

  • Any noise-making devices, specifically air horns with sirens and/or whistles

  • Fireworks

  • Illegal drugs

  • Weapons and dangerous devices of any type



Prohibited Behaviors

  • NO SMOKING. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the Event Area. This includes cigarettes, cigars, and marijuana. It is illegal to smoke marijuana in any public place in the Town of Avon including the Event Area.

  • Guests found in possession of contraband items will be subject to expulsion from the Event Area and the contraband items confiscated.

  • Disorderly conduct and/or throwing of projectiles.

  • Panhandling or soliciting.

  • Loitering in or entering competition areas without being called into the area by a Volunteer, Staff member or Judge.
